Historical price EOS
EOS’ (price) history
EOS started out as an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in June 2017 on the Ethereum network. Since then the price has had its ups and downs, as you are able to see in the price graph at the top of this screen. EOS reached its highest value on April 29, 2018. That’s when one EOS was worth 4.46 euros.
Will the EOS price stabilize?
EOS still has its ups and downs, that’s called price volatility. But why is the EOS price volatile? To understand that, it is good to compare the total market value of cryptocurrency to other financial markets.
The total value of all EOS coins combined is approximately € 44 billion. By comparison, Apple's total market value alone is many times higher, roughly € 600 billion.
If you compare the crypto market to other markets, the cryptocurrency market is still very small. You need relatively little capital to make the EOS price move. In addition, many day traders are active in the cryptomarket.
What does the cryptomarket look like compared to the stock market? You can see that in the image below. The blue blocks represent the stock market, the green blocks represent the cryptomarket.
What can you expect from the EOS price?
Well, if only we could answer that question... Unfortunately we don’t own a crystal ball that shows us the future. It’s difficult to predict the EOS price.
What we can tell you however, is that the price of EOS depends on various factors. News, for example, plays an important role.
In April 2018, after it became known that EOS was going to run on its own blockchain, the price went wild. The fact that EOS wasn’t dependent on the Ethereum blockchain anymore gave a lot of investors confidence.
In addition to the news about EOS, many investors use technical analysis to try and predict how the price of EOS moves in the short and long term.
Only invest an amount that you can afford to lose
Last but not least, we always recommend investing an amount of money that you can afford to lose. In our opinion, investing in cryptocurrencies is one of the most interesting investments you can de, but at the same time it can be risky due to its volatile behaviour.
