Step 1: Register on our website

The first step in selling your bitcoin cash is to register on our website. Do you already have a validated account? Simply skip this step and proceed to step two.

The documents we receive from you will be saved to an offline, encrypted hard drive. The provided documents are only available to selected BTC Direct employees, and will never be shared with third parties.

Step 2: Start a sell order

1. Log into your BTC Direct account using your email address and password.
2. Select the option ‘Sell” in the price calculator.
3. Choose your coin, which in this case is bitcoin cash. The abbreviation for bitcoin cash is BCH.
4. Enter the amount of coins you would like to sell in the price calculator. You will be shown the approximate amount of euros you will get in return including fees. Click ‘Sell coins’ to start the order.
5. Fill in your IBAN bank account number on the order form. If you have previously bought coins on our platform you will have the option to choose from the bank account numbers known to us.
6. Agree to our terms and conditions and click ‘Sell coins’.
7. On screen you will see our bitcoin cash receiving address. To sell your coins, please send the desired amount of coins to the provided address from your wallet.
8. Log into your wallet and choose ‘send coins’. Enter the amount of coins you would like to send and complete the transaction.
9. Your bitcoin cash has now been sent to our BTC Direct wallet. The final pay out will be determined as soon as the transaction is visible on the blockchain. The transaction doesn’t need to be confirmed by the network yet.

Step 3: Receive the funds to your personal bank account

To ensure the funds reach your bank account as soon as possible, we have multiple payout rounds a day. In most cases the funds will be in your bank account within two business days.
