Ethereum price prediction 2022

Within the first few months of 2022, analysts expect a small correction towards € 3,110. By the end of the year, Ethereum manages to break through € 4,000. A new milestone!

Ethereum forecast between 2023 and 2025

According to analysts, Ethereum will break through the psychological barrier of € 5,000 for the first time in 2023. Ethereum will continue the strong upward trend and concludes 2025 with a price of € 8,546. An increase of more than 1,000 % compared to 2021!

Historical price analysis of Ethereum

2014

Ethereum started as an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2014. This is like crowdfunding for crypto projects, where you as an investor can be one of the first owners of a new coin or token. Those who got in early were lucky, because the introduction price was only € 0.26 per coin.

2016

At the start of 2016, Ethereum was still a bargain, with its price of less than € 1. Then the price went up considerably, peaking at € 18 in March of that year.

Then things turned sour. DAO was one of the first big projects on the Ethereum network. In an attack, hackers stole 46 million dollars worth of ether. This seriously affected the mood, and Ethereum lost nearly a third of its value.

Ethereum closed the year with a price of € 7.53.

2017

Next year worked out great for the entire crypto market. The exchange rates went up, slow at first, but then suddenly very steeply.

In March, Ethereum hit the € 40 price threshold. It already seemed like a good price at the time, but it turned out to be just a taste of what was coming. Three months later, the price hit € 350.

The exchange rate moved sideways for a few months, but picked up the pace again in November. The year ended with a bang for Ethereum, with a price of over € 650.

2018

Have you been investing in cryptocurrency for awhile? Then 2018 probably still haunts you. It started off so lovely: Ethereum kept rising beyond € 1,000 and reached a new record.

But that turned out to be the peak of the bull run. In April, Ethereum was worth only € 340. After a short recovery towards € 675 the crypto market plummeted even further.

Finally, the exchange rate sank as low as € 120, the lowest point since May 2017.

2019

Next year was a real rollercoaster for Ethereum. The climb upwards started in January and ended in June with a price of almost € 300. Then the price dove faster than a hawk ambushing a mouse. Ethereum ended the year with a price of € 120 and had basically gone full circle, right back to where it started off.

2020

While there was still enough toilet paper on the shelves and your auntie could still give you three pecks on the cheeks on your birthday, Ethereum's price went up. The exchange rate peaked at € 260 in February.

When it became clear how serious the Coronavirus Pandemic was, this had far-reaching consequences for all financial markets. Halfway into March, Ethereum dove to € 80.

In hindsight, this would have been a great time to buy the dip, because from this point on, the price started to rise considerably. By the end of December, the exchange rate was at € 600, the highest it had been since the start of 2018.
